Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) Technical Workshop – Friday 21st June

IMPORTANT DATE FOR YOUR DIARY

This workshop is aimed at heat users, technology providers, wood-fuel suppliers and other people who would like to find out more about the technical details and supports available through the  Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) which has been opened by the Irish Government this week.  This workshop will take place from 09:00 – 13:00.

The SSRH scheme will support businesses with the move towards renewable heat technology. This scheme has opened for applications through SEAI, it will support businesses and farms for up to 15 years for the installation and on-going use of biomass and anaerobic digestion heating systems. Biomass and biogas are sustainable products, as fuel is generated from local agricultural and forestry activity.  The scheme aims to reduce energy costs for companies and those who take part in this new scheme will receive operating aid from the government in the form of a payment for the useful renewable heat generated.  Eligible business includes commercial, industrial, agricultural, district heating, public sector and other non-domestic heat users.

The Irish Bioenergy Association are looking forward to helping businesses transition to renewable energy by presenting practical and technical advice on the scheme which will include tips on application procedures, installations, fuel supply and technical know-how from our speakers. We will also discuss the benefits of the Biomass Designers and Installers Register which we are initiating and the Wood Fuel Quality Assurance Scheme which has been developed by IrBEA.
