This project involves using micro-technology for the treatment of micro-scale industrial and agriculture waste
to energy. H2AD uses microbial fuel cells (MFC) and conventional anaerobic digestion (AD), which enables a 10x
reduction in the time required to reduce the organic content of waste. The energy is converted to a hydrogen/
methane rich biogas. IrBEA and other partners have arranged for a pilot/demo plant to be commissioned
and monitored with Country Crest in Dublin with a view to developing this technology on a larger scale.
